Threads Clothing Ministry

Our hope is to help people begin and build a relationship with Christ by providing clothing and an opportunity to connect with Christ’s followers in a friendly, non-intimidating manner. This process begins with generous donations of clothes and small household goods from our community.  Every Monday morning, donated items are picked up from local stores.  Then on Wednesdays at 9am, many dedicated people gather to sort and organize that week’s donations.

Threads, located at 33 East Lawrence Avenue in Miamisburg, is open to the public for shopping by appointment only on Wednesdays from 6 – 8:30pm, Fridays from 10 – 11:30am and the first and third Sunday of each month from 10-10:45am..

For appointments, please call 937-503-2841.

We currently have limited people to one monthly 45 minute visit where they can take whatever items they need.  We just ask that they are considerate to others and that after three visits, they spend their fourth volunteering and serving others with us.

Weekly Serving Opportunities – Threads is a great opportunity for individuals, families or small groups to serve together.  There is something for everyone to help with. Whether it is helping to pick up the donations from the stores on Mondays, sorting and folding clothes, helping shoppers find what they need, or simply organizing and lifting the tubs of stored clothes – we need your help. Here are a few ways to get involved.

  • Seasonal clothing switch out is happening soon. Extra help needed. Note that a good amount of lifting is involved. Email Threads for specific sorting times.
  • Sort & Organize Donations: Mondays & Wednesdays (9am-12pm) & Thursday (6:30-8:30pm)
  • Shopping Times: Wednesdays (6-8:30pm), Fridays (10-11:30am) & the 1st & 3rd Sundays of each month (10-10:45am) (Note: Some lifting required. Come & assist shoppers.)

Local Partners

We love to partner with groups that are making a huge impact. Below is a list of our local partners and a little information about each of them.

  • BOGG

Because of God's Grace (Bogg) Ministries is a non-profit organization that was started to help provide the people of Miamisburg, Ohio and the greater Dayton area, with food, clothing, and other essentials to sustain a healthy lifestyle, and to love people so they know that God loves them.

We want to come alongside people offering loving support and assistance with social, emotional, and physical needs. It's our goal to bring the church out into the world, and not to be restricted to a building. We believe it's time for local churches to unite and become the expression of God's love to those who are hurting and need it most.

  • Butler Springs Christian Camp

In 1949, several men drove over from a local C.C.C. Camp at Fort Hill to inspect this property. They had a dream which became a reality. Our own camp! The two camps, Tri-State Christian and Victory Christian, finally became what is now Butler Springs Christian Camp & Retreat Center. For over 60 years, this camp has faithfully served the churches of the Restoration Movement from areas in, near, or around Dayton, Cincinnati, Chillicothe, Columbus, northern Kentucky, and other towns in Southwest Ohio. Butler Springs began as a week-long, all age camp. Today it is an all year, multifaceted camp and retreat center.
