• We're gearing up for a GREAT year with MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers)!
  Won't you join us in starting out the year with a fun Mom's Night Out on Thursday, September 2, at 6 pm at The Greene. We'll have dinner at Brio (and sit on the patio if it's nice) and enjoy some music at the Town Square by First Call Accoustic.  The concert is from 6-10 pm. Feel free to bring a blanket or chair to continue to enjoy the music or grab some girls to head to the Cheesecake Factory for some dessert or to the stores for shopping. • 4th Annual Middle School Hurricane Party--Wednesday, September 8 -- 6:30-8:00pm
  It's that time of year again!  Make sure you wear clothes you can get messy in and bring a towel and a friend.
  
  
• JUST FOR 4TH AND 5TH GRADERS: Club 45 is a ministry just for preteens. Designed with fourth and fifth graders in mind,this ministry helps kids integrate their faith with their everyday lives using high energy activities. It is great time to build relationships with other kids and some pretty cool adults. Join us on these Wednesdays from 6:30-8:00. Fall Dates are: September 8 and 22, October 6 and 20, November 3 and 17, December 1 and 15. Questions: Please contact Karin at 866-4893.
  
  
• Women's Wednesday Bible Study
  We will being on September 8 at 6:30 pm, in the Lawrence Avenue Building.  The name of the study is "The Bible in 90 Days".  Sign up at the Info Desk.

• This year's Clothing Extravaganza will be held on Saturday, September 25 from 9:30-12:30 here at MCC (enter through Door #3). Donations will be accepted on Sunday, September 5, 12, & 19 in Room 110 and during the week until Monday, September 20 from 9:30am-3:30pm.

New Director of Children’s Ministry

Thank you for your prayers as we have been searching for the right person to lead our ministry to children here at MCC.  We have interviewed many people in our desire to have just the right person.  We have found her.  And she was here at MCC all along. 

Beginning September 12, Weena Denlinger will join our staff as our Director of Children’s Ministry. 

As a PK (preacher’s kid) Weena has grown up in and around the church.  She has been at MCC for 13 years and involved in various ministries including pianist, creative team for worship and curriculum development, small group leader, women’s bible study facilitator and worship leader.  Other ministries include our recent mission trip to Haiti, local mission trips and service projects, and community events.  She has served in children’s worship, VBS, camp, and other children’s events. 

Weena is married to Scott Denlinger and has twin sons - Jacob and Caleb.  Jacob and Caleb are sophomores at Miamisburg High School. 

HOBBIES/INTERESTS:
Avid & spirited fan of the Miamisburg Viking Boys’ Soccer Team, especially #’s 4 & 6! Go Vikes!!
Hanging out with the coolest three guys on the planet
Hiking or anything outdoors.
Fitness Fanatic & Zumba Instructor
