  • Phil Denlinger

Phil was born and raised in Kettering, Ohio, and graduated from Fairmont West High School. Go Dragons! (Hey, who changed our mascot to a Firebird? And what’s a Firebird, anyway?)

Phil says, “Born here, will probably die here…The Denlingers are now seven generations in the Dayton area.”

Even though he attended church his whole life, Phil admits that as a student, he had very little understanding of who Jesus was. “Jesus wasn’t real to me, and He wasn’t a part of my life. I didn’t understand my need for Him. A good friend of mine and fellow pole-vaulter from track told me about Jesus one day in a way that was completely new and different from anything I had ever heard before, and I then understood I needed Jesus as my Savior.” , says Phil.

Phil attended Miami University at Oxford Ohio, and launched a computer business with his brother. Phil is owner/partner of a small business in Franklin, Ohio and has been President and CEO since 1999. With more than thirty years of service there in various capacities, he is looking forward to using his God-given talents to help MCC by utilizing his administrative and financial experience. Working within the church has been his life-long ambition.

Phil has been married almost thirty years to his wife, Lisa, and they have three boys; Chip, Andrew, and John. And finally, after a very long wait, a daughter (in-law), Danielle, whom they also love very much.

In his spare time, Phil likes to travel and has explored many corners of the world. He loves genealogy and tracing his ancestry back to Germany and Scotland. He’s visited both many times to explore family history. Phil loves The Word. He enjoys teaching and sharing God’s truth with others.
